This is the story of two single mothers living in Barcelona. One comes from a modest background, the other from a leisured class. The first one, Pilar, 33 years, is trying to give the best education to her daughter, Vera, 3 years. Between her work as a waitress and her personal life, it is not always easy to handle this situation. The second one, Margarita, 46 years, takes care of Sofia, 10 years. She is a doctor and lives with her mother, who was also a single mother.​
